In 1948, Mr. Abdus Samad established Samad Rubber Works (SRW), formerly known as Pakistan Rubber Industries. It was the first company to set up a state-of-the-art latex foam manufacturing unit and manufacture rubber hoses.

Coming from a background of education, Mr. Abdus Samad educated himself on the basics of rubber material, which marked the inception of his journey in the rubber industry, where he would go on to become a trailblazer in rubber innovation.

In 1951-53, building upon the foundation laid in 1948, Mr. Abdus Samad initiated rubber hose production for the first time in Pakistan, marking a significant stride in his journey of pioneering industrial and commercial rubber products.

Being the pioneer in the rubber industry, the journey did not stop there. Mr. Abdus Samad expanded his entrepreneurial endeavors by establishing a shoe manufacturing unit.

This bold move marked a significant diversification from rubber production and saw the pioneering of leather upper and sole production.

During this period, Samad Group ventured into developing one of the most intricate items to be produced, Japanese Geisha dolls. These ornamental dolls were exported to Japan, reflecting the company’s strive towards attention to detail, dedication, and creativity, and marked the first step towards international trade.

In 1965, Samad Group embarked on a transformative initiative by establishing a free dispensary within its office premises, extending essential healthcare services not only to its employees but also to the surrounding community.

The dawn of Samad Rubber Works & Samad Adhesives heralded a transformative era, unveiling a revolutionary contact-based adhesive - Samad Bond that quickly became a household staple.

Samad Group arose yet again as a pioneer in indigenously developing high-performance, customized items meeting the immaculate needs of the Pakistan Defense Forces. From the development of Pontoon float bridges to crafting high-performance inflatables with rubber-coated technical fabrics and personal load-carrying equipment, they played a crucial role in providing strategic infrastructure support.

Samad Group realized the application of inflatables in the realm of sports and adventures as well and hence witnessed a diversification into the magnitude of sports and adventure equipment.

The visionary,  Mr. Abdus Samad, himself was an enthusiast for education, hence the development of a fully equipped formal Research and development department was no surprise. The departments were responsible for constantly evaluating, improving, and achieving operational excellence through immaculate processes and quality output.
